Can we know the timing of the End Times? Podemos saber o momento do Fim dos Tempos?

EN   ( Clique aqui para português ) Last night I came across a super YouTube video by Bodo Hoenen . I loved his insight, humility, Bible basis and the structure that he gave to his thoughts. I’ve taken what he broadcast and used it as the basis for what follows in this post, with a few additional thoughts (like the common mistranslation of Matthew 24:36). I’ve also done a rough translation for my friends here in Portugal for whom the English video by Bodo won’t be easily accessible. Can we know the month, week, even the days of the End Times? I’ve come to the view that God hides the precise day and hour, but reveals the time frame to those who are expectant and in relationship with Him. A pregnant woman doesn’t know the exact time the baby will be born, but she knows the signs getting stronger as the time approaches. Very famously, Jesus said that no one will know about the day or the hour when heaven and earth will pass away (Matthew 24:35-6)  However, elsewhere in the Bible...

EN   ( Clique aqui para português ) 1 Peter 4 - However long is left, live like this Tonight we will continue our study in Peter's first letter with chapter four .  Let's look at three main themes, but they can be further summarized in verse two: no matter how much time we have left, live this way, not that way.  Three themes:  Suffering for being a Christian  Judgment and the end of the world  How we should live as Christians  Sometimes people say that a good teacher will tell you what they are going to say; then they will say it; then they will remind you again of what they just told you.  Another approach is to take some themes and weave them together.  This is what Peter does in chapters three and four of this letter.
