1054 RAF Akrotiri Base Hit After Starmer Approves US Base Use  

2 Mar 2026 RAF Akrotiri base in Cyprus was hit by a suspected Iranian drone strike, causing minor damage. The UK Ministry of Defence is responding to the attack, which follows the UK’s decision to allow the US to use its bases for operations against Iran.
