In Matthew 24:3 the disciples ask Jesus to tell them “what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” The phrase “the end of the age” seems to refer to the coming of Christ with His church at the end of the period of tribulation. Many of us expect that, before the tribulation starts, Christ will return for His church in what is called “ the rapture ”.   *ALERT* The rapture is imminent   Remember, when Jesus says, “No one knows about the day or the hour…” He is referring to his coming at the end of the age, not to the rapture. ( More ) The rapture can take place at any time (so  we need to be ready now ): none of the following signs is necessary to be completed before the rapture can take place; but the presence of the signs does indicate that the time for the rapture is getting closer. I dug out some depressing numbers from the CRM world: only 30% of companies with a CRM implementation feel that they've had a positive return on their investment. Mostly, the issues are not technical ones (it's not that hard to get the software installed and some superficial training completed). But there are some similarities with many IT projects: Lack of agreed goals and business case "Fail to plan, plan to fail" is the old saw that is daily proved true. I've seen clients invest in new hardware and software for the wrong reasons. (Last year, one IT department wanted to buy new software to secure training for the existing team in an attempt to secure their jobs and enhance their CVs...) Resist the temptation to launch into a new technology implementation without knowing realistically what you expect to get out of it. Can we know the timing of the End Times? Podemos saber o momento do Fim dos Tempos?

EN   ( Clique aqui para português ) Can we know the signs of the End Times? Last night I came across a super YouTube video by Bodo Hoenen . I loved his insight, humility, Bible basis and the structure that he gave to his thoughts. I’ve taken what he broadcast and used it as the basis for what follows in this post, with a few additional thoughts (like the common mistranslation of Matthew 24:36). I’ve also done a rough translation for my friends here in Portugal for whom the English video by Bodo won’t be easily accessible. Can we know the month, week, even the days of the End Times? I’ve come to the view that God hides the precise day and hour, but reveals the time frame to those who are expectant and in relationship with Him. A pregnant woman doesn’t know the exact time the baby will be born, but she knows the signs getting stronger as the time approaches.
